Come Stand in Prayer Together!

As Moses, Aaron and Hur joined in prayer for Joshua and the Israelite army (Exodus 17: 8 ‑ 16), we too must pray for one another to experience Christ’s presence, his peace, strength, wisdom, and direction in all aspects of our lives. Stand together by praying God’s powerful promises for one another unleashing his incredible love, incomprehensible power, and immeasurable blessings that will brand the earth for His glory.  This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. (1 John 5:14)

Weekly Prayer

Prayer 43: For Your Intimate Calling

Gracious Father, we thank you for the clear calling to ministry in our lives. We pray, like Joshua, that we would have ears to hear your clear directives, willing hearts to receive them, and diligence and courage to obey. Father, your assignment to Joshua was clear, precise, and promising (vs. 1-4). Like Joshua, may we seek and receive with clarity your marching orders for our lives. You promised Joshua your intimate presence like his mentor Moses had experienced. Similarly, Lord Jesus, may we experience you in a deeply intimate way, knowing your heart, love, passions, empowerment, and assurance. Father, out of this assuring presence, by faith, you commanded Joshua to be strong and courageous. I pray we would lead with fierce determination knowing that, while following you will demand heavy lifting well beyond our frail human potential, you will provide great faith, wisdom, and the supernatural strength necessary to accomplish the task. May our courage be fortified, and our pathway be clear as we meditate, embrace, and lead with the life-giving truth of your powerful word. May you bestow upon us success, bringing glory to the name of Jesus.

In Christ,

Blessings!

Joshua 1:1-9
1 After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ aide: 2 “Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them—to the Israelites. 3 I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses. 4 Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates—all the Hittite country—to the Mediterranean Sea in the west. 5 No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. 6 Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them. 7 “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Without connection to the creator, who is the only true source of true identity and value, we find ourselves empty of true intimacy, identity, and influence. (Pg. 49- Mistaken Identity)
