Prayer 29: Christ, Our Great Shepherd

Hope in Christ Alone, Psalm

Gracious Father, we find extraordinary comfort and promise knowing you are our Good Shepherd. We walk confidently and thankfully knowing that at no time and in no circumstance will we lack anything necessary for life and godliness. Experiencing your presence brings refreshment at the deepest level of our soul. May your quiet and still voice wisely direct us along your pathways for your glory and honor.

Lord Jesus, You are the light and salvation in our life; whom shall we fear? You are the stronghold of our life; of whom shall we be afraid?  As we look to you, may your radiance shine brightly through us as we bask in our hope found in Christ that liberates us from shame and blesses us with absolute forgiveness and freedom.

Abba Father, thank you that we take refuge, enveloped in your feathers, where we experience your shield and protection. Create in us a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

In Christ,

Blessings!

Ps. 23:1-3
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.

Ps. 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation– whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life– of whom shall I be afraid?

Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.

Psalm 91:4
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Remaining in Him is to continue in a state of relationship and absolute trust in Christ... not only what he did to initially save you, but what he promises to do to sanctify you. (Pg. 12- Mistaken Identity)
