Prayer 1: For Blessing in Life, Family and Ministry

Intercession: Encouragement

Gracious Father, thank you for blessing of Christ-centered friendships. Over the years, we have seen you so evident in blessing our life, family and ministry.

Lord Jesus. You are a God who is up close and personal, and you passionately seek after us to enjoy intimate relationship with us. Fill us with unquenchable thirst for you and meet us experientially through your Living Word, intimate prayer, and as we seek to abide with you. May we experience a constant sense of your powerful presence leading to ongoing communion remaining is a posture of prayer. We pray that we experience your closeness through the filling and overflowing of your Spirit in and through our life.

Father, regarding marriage and family, we pray for Christ-centered marriages. We pray that, as we grow closer to you, our love for our spouses might grow deeper than ever. Give us patience during this busy time in life. We pray that each of us would have keen discernment into one another’s inmost needs and wisdom and humility to point them to Christ along with a servant’s heart to die for them daily. We pray that daily each of us will be strengthened with your wisdom, patience, and perseverance and that we will be driven by your love as we pour ourselves into the individual needs of our children. We pray that our children will experience daily the power of the gospel leading them to find hope and joy in Christ alone.

Bless us with continued physical discipline to exercise, eat moderately, and rest well.

Father, thank you for your call to every follower to flourish as a minister. We pray for you to overflow through us blessing those we touch with dependence upon you. Continue to give us love, a servant’s heart, wisdom, and courage to speak the truth in love into everyone we encounter. May your kingdom, Lord Jesus, increase where we live, work, play, and educate.

In Christ,

Blessings!

There is a certain catharsis that takes place in most people when they finally identify and understand their battle. But the real good news comes a bit later when you find victory through the cross. (Pg. 52- Mistaken Identity)
