Prayer 32: For A New Year

Colossians, Lamentation, Praise, Psalm

Gracious Father, because of your great love, we are not consumed, for your compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. We say to ourselves, ‘The Lord is my portion; therefore, we will wait for him.’ We enter your gates with thanksgiving and your courts with praise; we give thanks to you and praise your name.

As we enter the new year, whatever we do, whether in word or deed, we desire to do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to you, our Father, through Him. May our lives exude the new song you have placed in our mouth; our hope is found through your grace and mercy and may it become a hymn of praise to you, our God. As a result, we pray many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in Christ alone throughout this new year.

Lamentations 3:22-24

Psalm 40:3
He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him. 

His word is living and active. It is able to penetrate at the deepest levels shining light into the heart, uncovering the confusions, and unraveling the conflicts in order to root out what is of the flesh. (Pg. 116- Mistaken Identity)
