Prayer 8: For Hope

Acts, Hope in Christ Alone

Gracious Father, I pray that we might be heartened today by reflecting on our Savior… Jesus, the Son of God!

Our Savior Jesus makes a bleeding woman well. He makes paralyzed people walk. He makes blind men see. He makes disease disappear. He makes demons flee. He makes dead men rise. He cannot be contained by men. He cannot be restrained by demons. He cannot be retained by Satan himself. Sin cannot befall him. Death cannot triumph over Him. Storms do not disturb him and the winds and the sea, they obey him. He rules over nature. His dominion is eternal. His existence is everlasting, and His Lordship is unmistakable.

Let us praise the Name of Jesus!

Nothing confuses Him. Nothing thwarts Him. Nothing frustrates Him. Nothing masters Him. Nothing prevails over Him. His knowledge is infinite. His presence is universal. His power is without limits. He is exalted in the heavenly realms. He is master of all powers. He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. He is the Divine One, the Son of God. He is the Savior… our Savior. His life mastered perfection. On the cross He conquered sin. Through His resurrection, He defeated death.

Let us praise the Name of Jesus!

For those guilty, He has justified. For the enemy, He has reconciled. For those enslaved, He has redeemed. For those condemned, He has atoned. For those eternally damned, He has glorified. He is hope in despair. He is a companion to the lonely, security for the fearful, purpose for the aimless, strength to the weak, light in the darkness, He is our master, brother, lover, and friend.

Let us praise the Name of Jesus!

In Christ,

Blessing!

Acts 9:19-20
19and after taking some food, he regained his strength. Saul spent several days with the disciples in Damascus. 20At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.

Nothing good comes from the flesh. Not before we were saved when it dominated our lives as a slave master or now, in its current weaker, but plenty irritating state. It is incapable of producing anything of eternal value. (Pg. 59- Mistaken Identity)
