Gracious Father, we thank you that our hope is found in Christ alone. Our life perspective is dominated by this hope that yields peace, security, and a clear calling. Amid worldly confusion, our hope is unwavering, and our message is even more powerful. No matter the confusion and turmoil, our trust resides in our King Jesus who reigns. Our kingdom in Christ has and will prevail! We stand on solid ground.
Father, standing with this hope, remind us to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone.
We are reminded that at one time, we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived, and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated, and hating one another. But when your kindness appeared to us, you saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of your mercy. You saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom you poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.
Father, give us laser focus on this trustworthy saying and may we remind each other of these things: that those of us who have trusted in Christ must be careful to devote ourselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.
Father, keep our eyes fixated on you, the author and perfecter of our faith. In every occasion, with a sincere sense of security, peace, and hope found in you, may we penetrate the culture around us and point others to the glorious message of the gospel of Christ. May we be light in a very dark world!
In Christ,
Blessings!
Titus 3:1-8
1 Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, 2 to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone.
3 At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. 4 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. 8 This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.
Hebrews 12:2
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
