Gracious Father, as children of the King, we celebrate our extraordinary freedom and joy to intimately know you and live victoriously for your glory. We are thankful that the pathway to this relational blessing is dependently abiding in you. However, we find ourselves conflicted. We confess how quickly we leak into self-sufficiency or unbelief, choking the flow of your supernatural power and blessings. We do believe; help us overcome our unbelief.
We are desperately dependent, thankful, and confident in Christ’s redemptive work. We believe that the same grace that saved us is the same grace that will sanctify us. We invite your Spirit to bring swift conviction when we wade into prideful waters of fleshly self-sufficiency leading to an ignoring, callous, and rejecting heart towards you. Give us a broken and contrite heart, tender to your voice, able to hear and faithfully respond to your love, wisdom, and power leading to victory for Christ’s glory.
Father, equally rescue us from unbelief. We are always apt to chase the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. We confess that there is nothing in our flesh that can overcome these seductions. Jesus, you are our hope and rescue. There is no temptation that is greater than the power you provide to overcome it. No! None. Not pride, control, fear, lust, anger, jealousy, or any other fleshly temptation. No, not one!
Father, from your Fatherly, kingly, wise, and redemptive throne, breathe into us supernatural awareness when facing fleshly desires. Give us discernment, faith, hope, and power to say yes to our freedom found in Christ and no to temptation which only kills, steals, and destroys. May the name of Christ be raised high above all!
In Christ,
Blessings!
I Corinthians 10:12-13
12 So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! 13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
Mark 9:23-24
23 “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”
24 Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
