Gracious Father, we marvel with thankful hearts at your powerful and thorough life-giving and life-changing work in and through our lives. We understand nothing good dwells in us, that is, in our sinful nature. Even with our greatest effort to do so, Lord Jesus, we cannot do good outside of you. But, as we trust Christ alone and remain surrendered to your Spirit, we are promised supernatural inward transformation and outward change that yields spiritual fruit.
Lord Jesus, we desire a broken and contrite heart that is completely dependent upon you. Holy Spirit, overflow in and through us with the very character of Christ and produce your supernatural abundance in us for your glory.
Fill us with your supernatural love, the exact agape love that is marked with intimate care, self-sacrifice, and service. The same indescribable, irresistible, and unconditional love that has blessed us. Out of the overflow of this love and the deep, complete security and satisfaction it brings, may others experience this love through us; may it yield blessing along with the opportunity to shepherd them to Christ, our source of hope.
Fill us with your supernatural joy, a joy far removed from earthly circumstances derived from eternal promise and optimism. May this joy confound the minds of those around us, pointing them to interest in our supernatural source.
Fill us with your supernatural peace, a godly sense of contentment and tranquility built upon a sense of your presence, Lord Jesus, which produces a godly hope that flourishes in the face of inward anxiety and worldly turmoil.
Fill us with your supernatural patience, a Christ-derived, courageous endurance over time that is absent of a controlling frustration and impatience when dealing with our own challenges, others, and life circumstances while we faithfully know our great God is in absolute control and His plan in our lives is being perfectly orchestrated for His glory and our good.
Fill us with supernatural kindness, out of our ever-deepening gratitude for the grace demonstrated toward us through Christ; may we overflow with gracious disposition toward others and demonstrate approachability, genuine sensitivity and care, cordial demeanor, and wholehearted attention.
Fill us with your supernatural goodness, as the beneficiary of the pure goodness of Christ himself who always points us to what is best for us; overflow through us Christ-centered wisdom and sometimes courage that looks after, generously cares for, and always points others to what is pure, righteous, and good.
Fill us with your supernatural faithfulness, completely blessed by our Savior’s perfect faithfulness; as we relate with others, pour out through us this same trustworthiness, loyalty, reliability, adherence, constancy, dependability, and devotedness.
Fill us with your supernatural gentleness, as we experience absolute confidence and security in the fact that our hope, identity, intimacy, and influence is found in Christ leaving no need to fight for position, prestige, or power; may we overflow with patient submissiveness when offended, freedom from anger or retribution, diligence to stay away from unhealthy competition with others, and the ability to gently deal with personal offense without bitterness, revenge, or resentment. May we provide a soothing influence on anyone who is in a state of anger, bitterness, resentment, or frustration.
Fill us with supernatural self-control, an inward strength empowered only by the Holy Spirit blessing us with the discernment and strength to say no to ungodliness and worldly passion and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives. May all around us sense this rare quality as we humbly point them to our hope in Christ alone.
What a blessing to serve such a Savior! What a blessing to be filled with the Spirit of the Living God! What a blessing to experience and manifest these supernatural qualities for his glory!
In Christ,
Blessings!

Psalm 51:17
My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.
