Gracious Father, we celebrate as your beloved children that you have charged us with the privilege to serve as ambassadors for your kingdom. We are privileged as Christ’s holy envoy to participate in the execution of His redemptive plan. As your children, heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, you have blessed each of us with spiritual gifts apportioned by Christ himself to do just that. As we live dependent upon Christ, these gifts manifest His very nature ministering and caring for others with supernatural power.
We pray that you might give us passionate longing to seek and spend time with others so that we may impart to them some spiritual gift to make them strong— that is, that each of us may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.
We pray that we might carefully consider and utilize the gift(s) we have received from Christ to serve others as faithful stewards of God’s grace. If we are called as an apostle, prophet, pastor, teacher, or helper, or gifted with wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miraculous powers, prophesy, discernment, speaking or the interpretation of tongues, we pray that Christ’s unmistakable empowerment and blessing might flow through us. We pray that the glory of God might reign down through us, igniting a supernatural unity and movement where each person might thrive, and the church might flourish.
We pray that if our gifts are speaking gifts, we would do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If they are service gifts, may we do so with the strength God provides so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. Oh, the beauty of Christ’s work! To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever.
In Christ,
Blessings!
Romans 8: 9
9 however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.
Romans 8: 17
Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
Ephesians 4:6
But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned.
Romans 12:6
We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.
Romans 1:11-12
I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.
I Peter 4:10-11
10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. 11 If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 4:11-13
11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
I Corinthians 12:28
And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues.
I Corinthians 12:7-11
7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.
8 To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit,
9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,
10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.
11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.
